LIBENTER EXHIBITION / Mantua, Italy

"A site-specific sculpted in Plexiglas!"

Located behind one of the most evocative squares in the incomparable historic centre of Mantua, Libenter is a purely avant-garde venue where the arts are contaminated in a totally Renaissance context, facilitating the dialogue between ancient and modern.

The ideal place to give breath to unique #Events, with an informal tone of voice, mixed with the right food and wine vein that distinguishes this territory.

As a follow-up to the Cent'anni Futuristi event, which in 2009 celebrated the centenary of F.T.Marinetti's iconic manifesto, this site-specific exhibition interpreted the canons and genesis of the Futurist Movement through the changing forms of plexiglass.

An informal exhibition in which plexiglass took extravagant shapes to celebrate some icons of the 20th century.

An #ExhibitionDesign in which the colours chosen for the plexiglass plates drew on the walls the faces of famous people such as Charlie Chaplin, Alfred Hitchcock, but also science icons such as Albert Einstein, almost as if their faces were imprinted on Polaroid prints with a classic white outline.

The characters show their typical expressiveness even when portrayed on Plexiglas plates; Chaplin's awkwardness, Jack Nicholson's lucid madness as the Joker and Mickey Mouse's frivolous recklessness take on shiny, plastic contours as if out of last century's black and white films.

An example of how #ProductDesign-oriented technology can become art.
